Cookies, Analytics, and Targeted Advertising
Our website uses cookies, pixels, and other tracking technologies to improve your experience, analyze traffic, and serve relevant advertisements. By using our website, you acknowledge that these technologies are active upon your arrival.
1. Analytics and User Experience Tools
We use the following tools to understand how visitors interact with our site and to optimize our services:
- Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager: We use these tools to collect aggregated and anonymous data regarding site traffic, user behavior, and technical performance.
- Hotjar: We use Hotjar (including Hotjar Observe, Ask, and Engage) to visualize user interactions and collect feedback. This helps us identify friction points and improve our user experience. Hotjar may collect data such as device IP addresses, browser information, geographic location (country only), and behavioral data (clicks, scrolls, and survey responses). In some cases, if users participate in interviews or tests, audio/video recordings may be collected. For more details, please visit Hotjar’s Trust Portal and Privacy Policy.
2. Targeted Advertising
To reach potential students and measure the success of our marketing, we engage in Targeted Advertising (cross-context behavioral advertising) using the following:
- StackAdapt Universal Pixel & Google Ads: These tools collect online identifiers (IP address, unique cookie IDs, and device identifiers) and activity data (pages viewed and links clicked). This allows us to show you relevant ads for our services on other websites you visit.
3. Your Texas Privacy Rights (TDPSA)
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents have the right to opt out of the processing of their personal data for the purposes of targeted advertising. While we do not sell your name, email, or phone number to third parties, our use of StackAdapt and Google Ads involves “sharing” or “processing” your online identifiers for advertising purposes.
4. How to Opt Out of Tracking
Because these technologies are active automatically, you must take action to opt out:
- Industry Opt-Out Tools: You can opt out of targeted advertising from us and other participating companies via the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Opt-Out Tool or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) Opt-Out Tool.
- StackAdapt Direct Opt-Out: You may specifically opt out of StackAdapt’s tracking by visiting their Opt-Out Page.
- Browser Controls: You can set your browser to block cookies or use “Incognito” modes. Please note that some site features may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.
Internet Commerce
Regarding data collection on our site, TABC Pronto is dedicated to your privacy and security. Our website uses industry-standard SSL encryption, which encrypts your information transmitted via the internet, allowing it to be transmitted securely.
Our SSL issuer puts our site through documentation checks and evaluation procedures to validate ownership and authenticity. Our website also undergoes scans to validate PCI Compliance to ensure that we accept and process credit card information in a secure environment.
TABC Pronto Course Registration
To register for our course, you will be asked to provide personal information, such as your full name, email address, street address, phone number, city, state, zip code, date of birth, and social security number. To securely log into your account, you will also be required to create a password.
TABC Pronto uses this information to verify your identity, as required by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission during your course. We also use this information to communicate with you about products and services you may express an interest in.
Payment
To process your payment, TABC Pronto requires your personal information such as your full name, phone number, email address, home address, and credit card billing address. TABC Pronto does not use credit card numbers for any purpose other than to process your payment.
Once your transaction has been processed, we do not save your credit card information. A third party vendor providing credit card processing services saves your credit card information. We maintain a written agreement with that service provider to ensure your financial and personal information is protected and secure.
Personal Information Security & Access
TABC Pronto safeguards your personal and financial information through an SSL certificate. Access to your personal information is strictly limited to authorized TABC Pronto personnel responsible for site maintenance, course administration, and information submission to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
TABC Pronto takes reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as asking for confirmation of your email address and password, before providing access to your personal information or account.
